Fire at Freeset

No-one was hurt but there was some damage to the building in Thursday night's fire.

After-hours on Thursday night there was a fire at Freeset in the screen printing department upstairs. The building and some equipment suffered only minor damage and a few t-shirts were destroyed. Thankfully no-one was hurt. The fire extinguishers did the job - along with the people using them of course. Kerry Hilton commented, Although we had a fire and that's not good at all - I was proud to be part of a team that pulled together so well. I was also encouraged as I walked through the community crowd (hundreds) gathered around our building (I was one of the last there as I was out) - quite a few of them told me not to worry - everything was okay - including the police. I sensed the community was with us rather than wanting to blame us for the fire - a nice change. He concluded, "although it could have been worse, we do need to look at ourselves to see what we can do better in the future".
